Oneida Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) to support logistics operations and supply chain management functions for a wide range of weapon systems, subsystems, and programs. This position will focus on the planning, development, implementation, and oversight of logistics support strategies and enterprise sustainment efforts. The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and key member of integrated product teams (IPTs), ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and long-term viability of logistics systems.
Execute all aspects of Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) principles, procedures, techniques, and practices related to the LMS workload for the 638th Supply Chain Management Group.
Provide comprehensive support across logistics lifecycle activities, including:
Requirements definition
Performance assessment
Specification development
Risk assessment and mitigation
Configuration and data management
Product testing (hardware and software)
Safety and quality assurance
Enterprise repair
Reliability and maintainability
Technology transfer and insertion
Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to analyze installation-level and Major Command (MAJCOM) planning/programming documents to determine the scope of acquisition and sustainment efforts.
Provide expert guidance and mentorship on logistics systems and supply chain management processes to team members and other stakeholders.
Lead or participate in IPTs for assigned systems, programs, or subsystems.

Develop and maintain program continuity books.
Apply AFSO21 8-Step Problem Solving methodology to enhance process improvement.
Draft and prepare logistics-related documents such as bullet background papers, market research reports, retention letters, and packages.
Lead or contribute to the development of tactical and strategic acquisition strategies.
Ensure logistics planning aligns with enterprise-wide sustainment goals and performance metrics.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within the DoD or Air Force supply chain environment.
Demonstrated experience with defense logistics systems and acquisition lifecycle support.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Knowledge of Air Force logistics policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
Previous experience working at or with Robins AFB and the Air Force Sustainment Center.
Familiarity with Air Force-specific logistics and sustainment processes.
Experience leading IPTs or cross-functional teams.
