Facilities Manager

Location: Front Royal, VA

Oneida Professional Services (OPS) is actively seeking a highly motivated, full-time Facilities Manager in Front Royal, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews plans and specifications for proposed projects to determine practicability from a construction viewpoint.
  • Participates in construction meetings.
  • Reviews construction contractor’s working schedule and assures schedule will be met.
  • Discusses discrepancies with the construction contractor and CBP Project Manager to arrive at an agreement for adjustments to schedule.
  • Observes construction at all stages to identify problems.
  • Provides insight, support, and consultation regarding the development of designs and SOW’s for projects of varying magnitudes; from large building renovation projects; security upgrades projects involving hardware, firmware and software upgrades and integration across different platforms; onsite construction projects; irrigation projects; electrical and fiber optic cabling projects; Environmental compliance for all projects.
  • Provides project coordination services for all onsite construction projects as well as other non-construction projects.
  • Assists in the operations of the Facilities Management office. Uses TRIRIGA and CMMS system to log in service calls etc.
  • Assists in inspections and conducts punch list walk-throughs.
  • Attends tenant meetings and assists with answering questions and resolving tenant issues.
  • Assists in warranty coordination after construction has been completed on proposed projects.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and written with CBP Leadership and both federally employed and contracted colleagues / peers.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to working groups, integrated project teams, etc. on an as needed basis.
  • Understands the concept of “teamwork” and works often within a team environment to complete work. Keeps members of a given team apprised of status, deadlines and or concerns in completing his or her work on a project.
  • Completes, in a timely and accurate manner, all reports, project status databases, work related submissions, etc., directed by CBP Leadership and/or same documents required in support of contractual requirements.
  • Coordinates the work with Construction Contractors’ personnel and tenant representatives to assure timely and satisfactory completion.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in civil engineering or another closely related field is strongly desired. A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of civil engineering experience: within the federal government, military or Dept. of Defense is required.
  • Preferred candidates will possess a current security clearance or an active federal background investigation. This ensures they meet the stringent requirements for handling sensitive information and accessing secure government facilities.
  • Ability to use CAD, AutoCAD and read blueprint drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for manipulating scheduling data and other project information.
  • Ability to lead, manage and mentor other team members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Have an Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Successfully pass a drug screen and a background check.
