For this position, we are actively seeking a talented, dynamic, and collaborative full-time Technology Engineer / Designer to grow our Technology design capabilities. The Technology Engineer / Designer position is critical in integrating with our Electrical team and developing our Technology offerings across Wisconsin and around the world. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Low-Voltage systems, excellent teamwork, caring, and listening skills, and the ability to collaborate with different project stakeholders for maximum success.

Location:

Remote or Hybrid at one of our following offices: Milwaukee, WI, Madison, WI, or Green Bay, WI, Jacksonville, FL, Atlanta, GA, San Antonio, TX, Ventura, CA or Walnut Creek, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will use client directives, site-specific design criteria and apply engineering principals and skills to prepare design of low-voltage and telecommunications systems, equipment, components, and products for commercial and industrial purposes and assist in developing bid and contract documents.
• Candidate will be instrumental in designing and producing plans and documents including voice, data, structured cabling (horizontal and vertical), audio visual, security, access control, intrusion detection, and other low-voltage systems, including inside and outside plant.
• Coordinate system scope, design layout and drawings with client and other disciplines.
• Perform telecommunications, low voltage systems analysis and develop appropriate system concepts, layouts, and details.
• Oversee projects from inception through final transition working with senior management, client and subcontractors ensuring the schedules, and resources remain in check
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of low voltage and telecommunications systems.
• This position will work with engineers to preparing schedules, budgets and status reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BICSI RCDD Certification
• EIT Certification with ability to obtain PE, or PE License
• 4+ years of electrical, communications, and low voltage design experience
• Revit or AutoCAD proficiency
• Ability to work collaboratively to solve design problems
• Ability to communicate effectively with people through oral presentations and written communication
• Ability to prioritize and drive positive outcomes
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, creative, motivated, and enthusiastic
• Strong interpersonal skills, listening, and caring for others
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new skills
• Ability to travel as needed for meetings and site inspections, within and outside the United States
• Capable of lifting and carrying 30 pounds of equipment
• US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited school.
• Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) membership

Compensation Range:

• $70k - $110k
